The state of the art... Yet another quality Epyx production with eight compulsive events for a tenner.
Challenging and playable, especially the last level which is a real toughie... A simple concept and enjoyable gameplay gives instant addiction.
A highly original and playable arcade adventure. Features superb cartoon-style characters and backdrops - reminiscent of the real thing!
A nice idea, let down by poor content. The four levels are simply ridiculously easy to complete.
A novel approach to an ageing theme. The puzzles are straightforward and fun to solve, although a little too easy to crack at times.
Johnny Reb II (Lothlorien/Argus Press)
When Lothlorien want to, they can still hold their own in the strategy games market.
SSI continue to set the pace. Features good, smooth scrolling maps and an attractive character set.
Tass Times In Tone Town (Activision)
100% addictive. I've fallen in love with this brilliantly original game... The plot is so up the creek that I'm not going to try and explain it.
The Legend Of Sinbad (Superior)
The four games, with the exception of the Tutankhamun variant - which is frustrating but quite playable - are all rather repetitive and boring to play.
A very good and highly original puzzle game for people who like to use their brains as well as their joysticks.
Simple sprites and backdrops make this undemanding and dull. One of Mastertronic's weakest releases.
One of this year's better blasts. Forty levels of high speed, high quality action for your money. Immediately impressive and addictive.
A highly original 'cute' game worthy of anyone's attention. Seven levels of hard, fast-moving scrolling action.
There's a lot of disagreement amongst the Zzap team - try before you buy; either an expensive mistake or a worthy purchase.
A run-of-the-mill arcade game. Plenty of screens to explore, but not much variety.
Nice sprites... great use of colour... There are only eight screens, but the two player mode offers plenty of enjoyment.
Strike Force Harrier (Mirrorsoft)
Not a brilliant flight simulator, but one of the more exciting on the market.
Asterix And The Magic Cauldron (Melbourne House)
If you don't mind the very slow pace of the game, then there's enough to keep you busy for a while.
Incredibly simple to get into - great fun too! Very few computer games offer so much social interaction for so many.
A good Trivia game, but not in the same class as Powerplay and Trivial Pursuit... and rather costly too!
