A dull but decent movie tie-in. There's plenty to do... but it's all routine.
Mickey's Racing Adventure (Nintendo)
A Disney masterpiece and one of the best adventures ever! You can race over and over again.
Barbie: Ocean Discovery (Mattel)
Dead easy for the youngsters. Older players will finish too quickly.
Dragon Warrior Monsters (Eidos)
Games like this are never going to set any new standards in graphics or sound effects, but with a good solid storyline behind the action and a couple of neat twists and turns, this game is a worthy purchase.
Tasmanian Devil: Munching Madness (Sunsoft)
Brilliant! A superb fast-spinning stormer! The levels are outrageously huge.
The size of the sprites, the colour packed into the graphics, the exciting gameplay and the great storyline all add up to create what is effectively a PlayStation game on the small screen.
Ready 2 Rumble Boxing (Midway)
You'll have to look hard to find a more original fighting game released this season.
A lame, boring beat-'em-up. The sound effects and music would be laughable if they weren't so tooth-grindingly annoying, and the graphics are roughly to the standard of a ZX Spectrum.
Some of the graphics are wonderfully detailed, despite being generally messy, and there are enough options to please even the fussiest gamer.
Star Wars Episode 1 Racer (Nintendo)
A brilliant game and easily the best racing game on the Game Boy Color.
If you've been looking for the karate Sensei that all other fighting games have to bow to then look no further.
Ronaldo V-Football (Infogrames)
There's a game in here somewhere... but I didn't find it. Cartridge frisbee anyone?
