Infiltrator 2: The Next Day (US Gold)
A sequel which only differs from the original in its missions being much harder.
Bionic Commandos (Go)
A fast and addictive game.
Lazer Tag (Go)
A tiresome, unexciting and unspectacular shoot-'em-up.
The Great Giana Sisters (Go/Rainbow Arts)
A fabulous, compelling and constantly rewarding arcade adventure... The best game of its type since Bubble Bobble... There can't be many higher recommendations than that.
Skate Crazy (Gremlin)
A smart skate-about which is well worth a look.
Wizard Warz (Go)
A very poor interpretation of an excellent concept.
Roadwars (Melbourne House)
A complete joke. You'd get more enjoyment setting fire to a tenner than spending it on this.
Trigger Happy (CRL)
A pathetic game concept. Guide your ship over a shuddering horizontally scrolling landscape, avoiding or shooting obstacles. That's all there is to it - blast 'n dodge 'n fall asleep.
Gemstone Healer (SSI)
A big game... The puzzle is a long-term objective, and the immediate gameplay is satisfying and entertaining.
Panzer Grenadiers (SSI)
A very good standard wargame, particularly recommended for beginners.
An adventure to be avoided... Tedious, boring, frustrating, non-atmospheric and bestowed with an inadequate parser.
Intrigue (Spectrum Holobyte/Mirrorsoft)
A different type of text adventure game. It's different in that it's actually quite good.
Fifth Quadrant (Ricochet)
Inadequately explained gameplay mars an interesting concept.
Tangent (The Micro Selection)
A neatly-presented, but over-simplified shoot-'em-up.
Thrust II (Firebird)
A reasonable and occasionally flawed game, but a very poor sequel.
An immediately compelling and fiendishly addictive addition to the puzzle genre.
Storm Bringer (Mastertronic Added Dimension)
Not the most outstanding part of the Magic Knight saga, but should nonetheless appeal of fans of the series.
Pro Golf (Atlantis)
An overpriced and uninteresting budget golf simulation.
Deluxe Monopoly (Leisure Genius/Virgin)
As board game conversions go, this is a good attempt... The multiple player mode may not provide lasting interest, but the short game option should.
Karnov (Electric Dreams)
This is not a Commodore version, it's the Spectrum one ported lock, stock and barrel, running amazingly slowly and is complete with colour clash and blippy tunes. Appalling. I haven't seen anything like it since 1982!
International Soccer (CRL)
Despite a few minor faults, still the quickest and most playable football game on the C64.
