A very disappointing conversion... It completely fails to capture the spirit of the arcade original.
An intriguing idea, let down by slow and, more often than not, unrewarding gameplay.
Shockway Rider (Faster Than Light)
An original and deceptively playable game - and a worthy Light Force follow-up to boot.
Another mediocre addition to the fastest growing genre this side of the Indian Ocean.
Original, but pointless. Four unplayable and extremely limited programs which soon repel.
Hollywood Hijinx (Infocom/Activision)
A change from the more recent fashion for lots of communication with other characters... a return to the old sport of inventory-boosting.
A regular text adventure... It's worth a fling, if only to get your penny's worth of frustration.
A product of the Graphic Adventure Creator... Personally, I'd save up for an Infocom game, but them I'm spoiled.
A timeless classic with brilliant, atmospheric, spot FX and speech.
A very simple, frustrating and unrewarding Uridium clone. Don't even consider looking at it.
The Equalizer (The Powerhouse)
Not entirely a waste of time - but far from an essential purchase.
A good, fast arcade blast... Check it out if you're keen on the arcade version.
One of the shoddiest, lacklustre, most pointless, unrewarding and unprofessional games I've had the misfortune to load... Full of bugs and spelling mistakes, it is also boring and completely fails to capture the atmosphere of the telly series.
Aliens: US Version (Electric Dreams)
The enormous potential of the film hasn't been utilised, but the package is good in its own right.
The Growing Pains Of Adrian Mole (Virgin/Mosaic/Level 9)
Humorous, but not enough interaction or gameplay to enthuse.
Three average sections loosely hung together to form a very weak budget release.
A slightly above average maze game, marred somewhat by the constant need to restart.
