Ranarama

This is a curious outing indeed. You play a frog hopping around a maze of rooms collecting and using spells and avoiding unpleasant creatures.

The style of exploration is unusual, in that rooms and their contents become visible only when you step into them. Thereafter, they remain visible even when you leave that room, for no very compelling reason.

Graphics are detailed and clear, and your frog hops convincingly. You get a big game area for your money - Ranarama was a full-price release back in the dim and distant past - and plenty of action. It's not unlike Gauntlet in style, but far less hectic.
