Road Runner (Superior) (BBC Model B)
Brilliant... The control keys are easily mastered and there is a joystick option.
Steeple Jack (English) (Atari 400/800)
Not a game I would recommend. It's not up to the usual standards of English Software, and it soon becomes boring.
Hunchback (Superior) (BBC Model B)
I think the game is very testing addition to the most complete collection and is well worth the money.
Crazy Painter (Superior) (BBC Model B)
With joystick or keyboard use, good quality graphics and with perseverance this game may well grow on you.
Skramble (Anirog) (Commodore Vic 20)
The game is very playable and makes good use of multicolour graphics, although this makes the display a little chunky.
Pacmania (Mr. Chip) (Commodore Vic 20)
The game itself is good... The ghosts become more intelligent the higher up the difficulty and speed levels you go.
Bitmania (Virgin Games) (Commodore 64)
This really fails to make the grade. Don't add it to your collection.
A must for all Vic owners.
Noc-A-Bloc (Virgin Games) (BBC Model B)
Although the only reason to play is to get a high score, it still kept me coming back for more.
Chess (Computer Concepts) (BBC Model B)
Says it's "quite simply the best chess game available"... and I, for one, wouldn't doubt it.
Widow's Revenge (Bubble Bus) (Commodore 64)
All in all this program suffers from the Rocky, Jaws and Superman syndrome - sequels do not always stand comparison with the original.
Revenge Of The Mutant Camels (Llamasoft) (Commodore 64)
Finally, some British software is available to show that the C64 is a wonderful machine.
Star Defence (Anirog) (Commodore Vic 20)
A fairly good copy of the arcade game Defender with a few extras thrown in.
Exterminator (Bubble Bus) (Commodore 64)
Has just enough to lift it above the competition and make it a worthwhile buy.
Exploring Adventures On The Vic (Duckworth) (Commodore Vic 20)
All three adventures are well-written and challenging, with, as is customary in Adventures, the Help routine being sufficiently cryptic not to make the game too easy.
Byte (Cases Computer Simulations) (Spectrum 48K/128K)
The game is written in BASIC and is consequently very slow.
Froglet - Battleships (Timeless) (TI99/4A)
The only instructions provided are those on screen. Unfortunately, they appear so fleetingly that about three RUNs are necessary to read them all properly.
Battlezone (Atarisoft) (Atari 2600)
The whole game is very well put together and should find a place on a lot of people's shelves.
Moon Patrol (Atarisoft) (Atari 2600)
Atari can do much better, because I have seen better on the VCS, so why don't they?
Pole Position (Atarisoft) (Atari 2600)
A good game and the whole effect is very realistic. The control is a bit odd, with pushing the stick forward to change into a lower gear, but that is a minor point.
Space Fury (CBS Electronics) (Coleco Vision Games System)
Quite enjoyable to play... It can get quite hair-raising at times.
Gorf (CBS Electronics) (Coleco Vision Games System)
A well put together game. All four missions of the original are implemented with gruesome Gorfian attackers to contend with in all their guises.
