Black Wyche (Ultimate) (Commodore 64)
The best of the Pendragon trilogy - you won't want to put down the joystick until you've solved it.
Here you have a good, meaty challenge with some excellent arcade elements thrown in for good measure.
Zorro (Datasoft) (Commodore 64/128)
Lots of puzzles and well refined graphics make Zorro a competent computer conversion of the hero's exploits.
Finders Keepers (Mastertronic) (Commodore 64)
Every platform game seems to demand a slightly different jumping technique according to the whim of the programmer but there is nothing too tricky here for practised players, but worth a quick hop.
Who Dares Wins (Alligata) (Commodore 64)
Whilst the graphics are slightly better than average, the gameplay is nothing to write home about.
Trivia UK (Anirog) (Commodore 64)
Should prove great entertainment for those long winter nights and post-Christmas dinner occasions.
Hit And Miss (Venturegate) (Commodore 16)
If I slag this off I'll probably be branded as a mindless moron whose idea of an intellectually stimulating program is Crossroads. All the same, I don't think it will have a wide appeal.
3D Glooper (Audiogenic) (Commodore 16)
A hard game to criticise. I was going to say don't bother with Glooper if you've already got a 3D maze job, but I can't recall having seen another one on the C16.
Kaktus (Audiogenic) (Commodore 16)
A pretty elementary game, but one that will appeal to the less experienced maybe.
McGuigan Vs. Bruno: The Big Fight (Commodore 64)
Both McGuigan and Frank Bruno are games of high quality and you must make up your mind whether you want the arcade action of Frank Bruno or the niceties of McGuigan.
Monty On The Run (Gremlin) (Commodore 64)
Not the best platform game ever invented in the history of the universe, but it's not far off.
Steve Davis Snooker (CDS) (Commodore 64)
This is, without doubt, the best snooker/pool simulation around.
Bryan Robson's Super League (Paul Lamond Games) (Commodore 64)
The C64's potential has been vastly under-utilised and the game itself just doesn't come up to scratch.
Hunter Patrol (Mastertronic) (Commodore 64)
Not a bad effort at a standard shoot-'em-up, but there are half a million others like it. It's cheap, but I'd rather have one good game than four of these.
