Bun Fun (Squirrel) (Acorn Electron)
All in all this program should appeal, with its humour and brash presentation, to the younger user.
Super Golf (Squirrel) (Acorn Electron)
The graphics of the course are pretty good and include sand and water traps.
Break Up (Viking) (BBC B/B+/Master 128)
In the middle of one game an irritating yellow block shadowed the ball around the screen, giving the impression that perhaps a bug was present.
Spacewarp (Bug-Byte) (BBC Model B)
A good, interesting game, if a little difficult to master at first.
Robot (Viking) (BBC B/B+/Master 128)
The graphics are pretty poor... The speed at which the robot moves in comparison to the human makes it a game you tire of quickly. You never become sufficiently good at it to succeed.
Croaker (Micro Power) (BBC Model B)
To me, this is the closest a program has come to the original and is good value for money.
Vu-Calc (Psion) (BBC Model A & B)
The examples included in the documentation make things fairly clear and the rest will come with practice.
Bug Bomb (Virgin) (BBC Model B)
The graphics are attractive but not spectacular and there are the usual hall of fame facilities to record the scores.
Pharoah's Tomb (A 'n F) (BBC Model B)
Although the graphics were not stunningly good I did find a few surprises. This is one game that most people will play until the finish.
Space Adventure (Virgin) (BBC Model B)
The graphics are of a pretty high standard and the way the androids dematerialise is especially likeable.
Landfall (Virgin) (BBC Model B)
Landfall is great fun, and offers something we all like - a challenge.
Vu-File (Psion) (BBC Model A & B)
If the management of data files is one of the reasons you bought your BBC then this Psion package has to be a serious contender for your library of software.
Adventure 1 (Odyssey) (BBC B/B+/Master 128)
This game proved disappointingly standard as adventures go.
Snooker (Acornsoft) (BBC Model B)
Snooker is a very addictive game and this on-screen version will prove just as grabbing.
Apollo (Software Invasion) (BBC Model B)
The sound facilities of the BBC are severely under-utilised... and perhaps a bit more imagination where the graphics are concerned wouldn't have gone amiss.
