Sonic The Hedgehog (Sega) (Sega Master System (EU Version))
A superb platform game for the Master System, that's just as much fun as its Megadrive counterpart.
World Soccer (Sega) (Sega Master System (EU Version))
A thoroughly enjoyable football game which offers all the thrills and spills of the real thing.
G-Loc: Air Battle (Sega) (Sega Master System (EU Version))
A pretty decent Master System blaster that should be checked out by potential fighter pilots as soon as it hits the shelves.
Super Space Invaders (Domark) (Sega Master System (EU Version))
An excellent shoot 'em up which Is slightly marred by the fact that it doesn't get tough enough on later screens.
Laser Ghost (Sega) (Sega Master System (EU Version))
A neat little light phaser title which offers plenty of blasting fun and frolics.
OutRun Europa (U. S. Gold) (Sega Master System (EU Version))
Potentially good, but unfortunately the lack of variety and poor 3D effect puts this racer at the back of the starting grid.
Line Of Fire (Sega) (Sega Master System (EU Version))
An utterly mediocre release. Very average gameplay, poor presentation and pitiful difficulty setting.
Back To The Future Part II (Sega) (Sega Master System (EU Version))
An awful game-of-the-film with very little going for it. All of the sub-games are pretty bad, and you won't want to play them for long.
Ms. Pac-Man (Sega) (Sega Master System (EU Version))
A classic blast from the past that sadly should have stayed there.
John Madden Football '92 (Electronic Arts) (Sega Mega Drive (EU Version))
Utterly essential... utterly brilliant. Amazing crowd noise, music and realistic effects, as well as plenty of groovy speech.
Robocod (Electronic Arts) (Sega Mega Drive (EU Version))
The finest graphics and highly challenging action and tons of secret screens and unbelievably addictive... the best Megadrive platform game yet seen.
Pac-Mania (Tengen) (Sega Mega Drive (EU Version))
One of the simplest games available on the Megadrive - but it's also very challenging and highly addictive!
Maniac Mansion (Jaleco) (Nintendo (US Version))
A playable and long-lasting adventure which should appeal to anyone after something a bit different.
California Games (Milton Bradley Company) (Nintendo (US Version))
With its multitude of options, including the multi-player mode, California Games offers plenty of challenge and lasting appeal and shouldn't be missed by crazy dude sports fans.
Mercs (Sega) (Sega Mega Drive (EU Version))
A stunning conversion made even better with the addition of a second, expanded game on the cartridge. Blasting fans shouldn't miss it.
Ninja Gaiden (Tecmo) (Nintendo (US Version))
A superb game, very similar to the Shadow Warriors coin-op. Highly recommended to Nintendo beat-'em-up fans.
Shadow Of The Beast (Psygnosis) (Sega Mega Drive (EU Version))
An original and entertaining exploration game with plenty of neat features.
Raiden Trad (Micronet Co. Ltd) (Sega Mega Drive (JP Version))
A very playable shoot-'em-up which is short on originality, but provides a solid and enjoyable challenge nonetheless.
Defender Of The Crown (Ultra Games) (Nintendo (US Version))
A good idea, but there isn't enough to keep you entertained. It's badly executed and rounded off with dull graphics and sound.
Golden Axe II (Sega) (Sega Genesis)
A disappointing sequel which lacks new ideas and challenge, and is just too similar to the original to be really worthwhile.
Galaxy Force II (Sega) (Sega Mega Drive (EU Version))
The still screenshots look impressive, but playing the game soon reveals its flaws. The 3D effect is jerky and unrealistic, the tunnel sequence is absolutely pathetic (just a naff series of concentric squares) and the controls are sluggish.
Captain Planet (Mindscape International Inc) (Nintendo (US Version))
What a wasted licence! And the sound is akin to a dying walrus being put through a paper shredder, with tunes that'll have you buying ear plugs.
Joe Montana's Football 2 (Sega) (Sega Mega Drive (EU Version))
A simple but enjoyable American football game which features incredible speech. A landmark game!
Castlevania 2 (Konami) (Game Boy)
What a brilliant platform game this is! Plenty of levels packed with cunning traps and undead-related excitement make this a game you'll be playing time and time again.
WWF SuperStars (LJN) (Game Boy)
Classy graphics and decent playability make this one to check out... and pronto!
Dark Castle (Electronic Arts) (Sega Mega Drive (EU Version))
Awful and unplayable... The worst Megadrive game yet. If a gamesplayer went to hell, this is the game he'd be made to play.
