Linked reviews are available to view in full on this site.
Felix Meets The Evil Weevils (Micro Power) (Acorn Electron)
The graphics are very good with smooth movement in all directions.
Aces High (Oasis) (BBC/Electron)
Really disappointing. A great deal more could have been done to improve the graphics and make the games interesting and professional.
Ghouls (Micro Power) (Acorn Electron)
I'm going to keep on with this game long after I've finished writing the review.
Super Pool (Software Invasion) (Acorn Electron)
A thoroughly enjoyable game and well worth adding to your software library.
The Valley Of The Kings (MP Software) (Acorn Electron)
Computer outputs are virtually instantaneous and are in different colours for descriptions, items found, and other responses. This makes for an attractive display.
Know Your Own Personality (Mirrorsoft) (BBC/Electron)
I do suspect this program may be popular owing to people's fascination with trying to understand themselves.
Gunsmoke (Software Invasion) (Acorn Electron)
To be frank, the game is boring once the basics have been grasped.
Moneywise (Squirrel) (BBC/Electron)
The documentation is sloppy, and I wonder why the company did not finish the thing off properly before sending it out.
West (Talent) (Acorn Electron)
I found this game really enjoyable right from the word go... Definitely worth buying.
Firienwood (MP Software) (Acorn Electron)
On the whole this is a reasonable adventure which would suit an inexperienced player.
Laser Reflex (Talent) (Acorn Electron)
A lot of effort probably went into producing the complex graphics display but the results are disappointing... At the end of the day, it's just another shoot-'em-up.
Ewgeebez (Software Projects) (BBC Model B)
Graphics are good... The creatures are superbly animated... All behave in a different way.
Smash & Grab (Superior) (Acorn Electron)
The game is not easy and requires a lot of effort to even get to the second screen.
Percy Penguin (Superior) (Acorn Electron)
The game is interesting, and enjoyable to play with some good graphics, and sound.
Logo Rom Cartridge (Acornsoft) (Acorn Electron)
When it comes to words rather than numbers, Logo is very much more powerful than BASIC and therefore much more suited to the beginner (or even the human in general!).
Tarzan Boy (Alligata) (Acorn Electron)
A real gem of a game which has that element of addictiveness and fun that makes you go back to it again and again.
Castle Assault (MRM) (Acorn Electron)
On the whole, whilst Castle Assault doesn't have a lot wrong with it, it's not exciting enough to make an impact on the software charts.
Jet Boat (Software Invasion) (BBC Model B)
Quite a game, original, challenging and nerve-pinching. The action is very smooth.
Roboman (Alligata) (BBC Model B)
Fast and furious action and the overwhemling odds should suit all you dedicated shoot-'em-up fans out there.
Microgo 1 (Edge Computers) (BBC/Electron)
Opening play is sometimes erratic, sidepoints being taken whereas grabbing the corners on such a small board is vital. To be fair though, the program is obviously directed towards beginners with little or no experience.
The instruction sequence at the start typifies the below average quality of this game. It has spelling mistakes, and is not particularly well-presented.
