I read somewhere that old software never dies, it just ends up in compilations. Ths is quite true as we have the third Electron software collection brought to us by Beau Jolly. This company has bought up the rights to many old and nearly forgotten programs and repackaged them in a new and bright double cassette pack.

Superior Software provided average games like Centibug, Alien Dropout and Stranded while Micro Power supplied the boring Felix In The Factory and two very good games, Felix Meets The Evil Weevils and Danger UXB. Brian Jacks Superstar Challenge is here and it still lives up to its name.

Snooker from Visions is useless. Alligata's Jungle Boy is a slow but playable platform game set in the deep African jungle. Durell have only produced a few Electron games but they are of very high quality as is the case with their Mineshaft. This is a standard platform game which is very playable and has brilliant graphics and sound.

Overall the compilation is a good one and is very much worth buying unless you have all but a few of the titles.
