Toki isn't a classic, but its oddball theme is appealing, playability is good and the price not bad.
It's Space Invaders hit by lightning... a hugely playable update of the original, and one of the slickest C64 games to come along in some time.
The Simpsons: Bart Vs. The Space Mutants (Ocean)
A highly playable arcade adventure. Will send some mad, but many will love it!
Unfortunately, you don't buy a compilation set for the sake of one decent game and, if you purchase Superheroes, that's about all you'll get. Last Ninja II outshines the other games by far.
All five games are good in their own right and complement each other very nicely making this an excellent buy overall.
A surprisingly weak US Gold compilation, with a great tennis sim, an average driving game, and two duds.
I can't understand why Empire would want to release a compilation like this... three of the games are near-identical. If you already have Emlyn Hughes and MicroProse Soccer, Soccer Stars is a complete waste of time.

A disappointing compilation... Features too many games written on other formats and badly converted to the C64.
Dizzy's Excellent Adventures (Codemasters)
A superb compilation... Anyone who misses out on this one must be one egg short of a hen house!
A complete waste of time. Five stages all look the same and play equally appallingly. Downright boring.
Unless you can't face the multi-loading, it's an attractively priced and intelligent little game.
Elvira: The Arcade Game (Flair)
Breaks new frontiers in boredom... Involves a lot of walking about, with Elvira sadly represented by an almost unrecognisable sprite. Background graphics are little better.
Double Dragon III: The Rosetta Stone (Storm)
A fast and challenging beat-'em-up with a simultaneous two-player mode.
Sky High Stuntman (Codemasters)
Not a disaster, but 'ordinary' would be a fair description of the entire game.
Extremely addictive... Recycled gameplay meets free licence on a cheap budget game, but it works - just.
Great fun in a masochistic sort of way, even though most of the entertainment is from the humorous 'special effects' rather than the game itself.
Phileas Fogg's Balloon Battles (Zeppelin Games)
Utter dirge! If Phileas Fogg had a balloon as uncontrollable as this, he'd never get round the world in eighty years, never mind days!
The action is non-stop, and the game's toughness makes you want to keep on playing rather than give up in frustration, while the sheer variety of it all should keep you interested for some time to come.
Oversensitive steering, dodgy collision detection and general sluggishness... Unplayably tedious... You'd have more fun pushing a Fiat Panda up a steep hill!
Rick Dangerous (The Hit Squad)
A great game that should appeal to arcade adventurers everywhere.
International 5-A-Side Football (Zeppelin)
Another pathetic attempt at simulating footy... Even an eight-team international league can't save this embarrassing own goal.
