This is very professionally put together and a game that I would recommend to anyone.

Abacus Games Pack 2 (Abacus) (Spectrum 48K/128K/+2/+3)

Overall, this games pack is good but not the best... Bulls Tables is the odd one out in as much as it should be on an educational pack.

Horace Goes Skiing (Melbourne House) (Spectrum 16K)

One of the most addictive packages I have yet encountered... It helps set the new higher standard for Sinclair-distributed software.

Tobor (Elfin) (Spectrum 48K)

Though the principle is pretty straight-forward, the graphics are good and the way in which the game has been put together is good and very professional indeed.

Rescue (CRL) (Spectrum 48K)

Quite a good game... It's in real-time too, hence the enemy will move even if you don't.

ZX Trek (Impact) (Spectrum 48K)

ZX Trek will find its way into many a home, as it is by far the best version I have seen so far.

Cruising On Broadway (Solarsoft) (Spectrum 16K)

The game is good in its addictive quality, but lacks the substance really to be sold on its own.

Crazy Balloons (A 'n F) (Spectrum 16K)

A good original game which is fun but which does not, on its own, stand up to some of the better software available for the same price.

Do Not Pass Go (Work Force) (Spectrum 48K)

I can only say buy it if you have not got the board game, or you really like the idea of using the computer and are struck by the idea of playing Monopoly.

Cosmos (Abbex) (Spectrum 16K)

Graphically the game is very good and highly addictive.

P.S.E. Games Tape 3 (P.S.E.) (Sinclair ZX81)

The games are good but not excellent separately, though Astro Wars is quite well-written.

Mines Of Saturn/Return To Earth (Mikro-Gen) (Spectrum 16K/48K)

Both games have very predictable plots, and neither of them use any graphics at all in the games themselves.

The First Aid Program (Network Computer Systems Ltd) (Spectrum 48K)

A well thought-out program which uses the ZX81 graphics to good effect, although short in content and a little simplistic in its approach.

Richard Shepherd has a rather too high opinion of his own program if he expects many people to spend three minutes loading it from tape, then two minutes waiting for the game to set itself up, only to have the program NEW if the SAVE feature is used!
