Demolator (Visions) (BBC Model B)
The action is particularly fast, as is the animation, yet there is little flicker and eye strain.
Flint's Gold (Micrograf) (BBC Model B)
The sound effects and music are something else, but the game is not remarkable... Just a little too difficult.
Vampire Castle (Micrograf) (BBC Model B)
Not too difficult, and does include a "save present position" option, standard in most adventures.
Excellent use of the TI's capabilities is made, but during one of many attempts, 'Memory Full' brought the game to an abrupt end.
Spy's Demise (Stainless) (TI99/4A)
Graphics are quite good, and interest is held very well indeed.
Solitaire/Tower Of Hanoi (Computer Games) (Sord M5)
Both programs were well foolproofed and I could not crash them... Studying these programs may be more beneficial than reading the rather poorly written Basic I manual.
Tumbledown Tower (Solway) (TI99/4A)
The ultimate quest of the adventure is not described in the instructions, but takes little imagination to guess... it's just a matter of whether or not you have enough stamina to last the course.
Battle Over Titan (Timeless) (TI99/4A)
Graphics and colour are used to good effect and the whole program is very well thought out.
Pengon (Microdeal) (Commodore 64)
The graphics aren't very interesting and certainly don't come up to the standards we now expect from software.
The Fall Of Rome (Argus Press) (Spectrum 48K)
I am not a fan of strategy games, but I must admit that this game made a refreshing change from shooting aliens.
ZX Draughts (CP) (Spectrum 48K)
If you like draughts then this is as good a game as any I've seen, even if it is a bit overpriced.
Buriabeast (Kerian) (Spectrum 48K)
The program often crashed, producing martian-style graphics, but even so, it is one to be recommended.
Backgammon (CP) (Spectrum 48K)
I soon got into the game and rather enjoyed playing, although you can only play against the computer, which is a pity.
ZX Reversi (CP) (Spectrum 48K)
Not a bad game, but there is nothing special about this version, certainly not enough to warrant the high price.
Knight Driver (Hewson Consultants) (Spectrum 48K)
Pity there is no hall of fame and it takes so long to replay.
