Over the last few months, I have reviewed three martial arts games. This month, I received a game which features the legendary Kung Fu master, Bruce Lee as the main character for review.

Unlike the other three martial art games, this one is more of a platforms and ladders game than a one-to-one combat simulation.

As Bruce Lee, you find yourself in one of the many secret chambers of the evil Wizard. You have to collect all the lanterns littered about the chamber in order to move onto the next chamber.

However, you are constantly harassed by the green Yamo, an enormous Sumo wrestler who can deliver bone-crushing blows. Your ultimate goal is to reach the evil wizard's chamber and conquer it.

The background graphics in each chamber are impressively detailed. Bruce Lee is large, nicely defined and moves both quickly and smoothly. Although the sound effects left a lot to desired (in fact, there wasn't much sound at all) this is the first game that combines the strategy element of Manic Miner clones with that extra touch of violence of combat games. Very enjoyable.
