3D Joust with depth (obviously!) and strategy. With different dragons to both ride and slay plus a few extra targets for mission variety.
Another classic System 3 arcade-adventure with the unique isometric 3D taken a step further... Beautifully detailed and evocative.
A compulsive successor to Tetris... Very simple to get into with compulsive addiction soon setting in.
Graphics are excellent and give the game a real alien atmosphere, but it's not enough to make up for a poor interface and game design.
The parallax scrolling section is just a linkage point that takes you from one RPG section to another and, in my opinion, is a complete waste of time.

You need a megabyte to get all the aesthetic improvements but it's the subtly different way the game plays that really makes Final Whistle worthwhile, the improved tactics and controls making for more skilful and exciting matches.

The problems don't change and the "script" is very similar to the original TV series... The jokes wear thin once they're been endured a couple of times.
This game still looks pretty good, fast with good, swooping hills, and attractive sprites, plus a good Maniacs of Noise tune.
Essentially Sabre Wulf with trading... Despite the nice backdrops and a good intro tune, it looks ancient.
The game is tricky to begin with but, with a bit of practice, opens out into a surprisingly playable little racer.
The playing area is huge, but there is little to do in many rooms apart from shooting the occupants - which soon proves tedious.

Later levels get bigger and add a couple of new elements, such as hollow trees to fly through, but it's not enough.
Reasonable 3D, but dull. While later levels are tougher, excitement is low with so few enemies.
Cars, yes, but not so super. After a few races, most people will have had enough.
It plays superbly, generating more aggression and excitement than half a dozen wars and the presentation is excellent.
A good conversion of a poor coin-op... Super Sprint fans will love it, and it's certainly fun for a while with two players.
Turrican II: The Final Fight (Rainbow Arts)
Five distinctly different worlds, imaginative baddies and numerous mega-monsters all exploiting the Amiga's palette. Plus some ultra-rapid scrolling... Awesome.
A little familiar after Robocop 2 and The Untouchables, but an excellent intro and inter-level screens on the disk version, plus good continue-play and text messages.
