Rise Of The Dragon (Dynamix) (Amiga 500)
Offers a kind of quality that's missing from most home-grown products. It's not quite as big as Monkey Island, but then neither is it as easy - which makes rather a nice balance really.
MiG 29M Super Fulcrum (Domark) (Amiga 500)
It's nice to see a politically neutral flight sim for once and if you're after a technically impressive flying experience Soviet-style, MiG 29M is hard to beat.
Big Business (Magic Bytes) (Amiga 500)
Not the type of product that will appeal to everyone... But it's simple to get to grips with and offers you a few, solid hours of entertainment at a time.
Silent Service II (Microprose) (Amiga 500)
You'll be hard-pressed to find an experience as long-lasting and engrossing as this one.
Lotus Turbo Challenge (Gremlin) (Amiga 500)
Easily the Amiga's best 3D road driving game... Highly recommended whether you're a Lotus fan or not.
Zone Warrior (Electronic Arts) (Amiga 500)
A healthy mix of extremely playable action and just the right amount of thought.
World Class Rugby (Audiogenic) (Amiga 500)
A must for devotees of the sport and well recommended to the rest of you into the bargain.
Wild Wheels (Ocean) (Amiga 500)
Wild Wheels isn't going to keep anyone glued to the screen for hours on end, but it is going to bring them back again and again for short blasts.
Final Fight (U. S. Gold) (Amiga 500)
Whilst Final Fight doesn't quite reach the dizzy heights of IK+, there's little doubt that it's going to stick in the memory.
Populous (Electronic Arts) (Amiga 500)
A must buy from a developer that bothers to write real games.
Archipelagos (Prism) (Amiga 500)
Of the game's 10,000 levels (phew), 9,900 of them are computer-generated, so they could be all completely impossible or a complete walkover, you just won't know until you try them!
The Immortal (Electronic Arts) (Amiga 500)
What really makes The Immortal a great game is the superb animation.
Chase H.Q. (The Hit Squad) (Amiga 500)
Definitely worth a look - especially for lovers of high-speed action.
Shadow Of The Beast (Sizzlers) (Amiga 500)
Almost worth having just for the pretty graphics and soundtrack. Be warned though, it's not going to stun you with its playability.
No Man's Land (Virus Free Pd) (Amiga 500)
Perfect two-player fun - but please note, it is two-player only.
Pom Pom Gunner (Virus Free Pd) (Amiga 500)
An Operation Wolf-esque shoot-'em-up... The game is actually pretty good.
Raid (Virus Free Pd) (Amiga 500)
Graphically it's top-notch, while the sound effects are nicely digitised and add to the frenzied atmosphere.
Air Ace II (Virus Free Pd) (Amiga 500)
Air Ace II is one of those must-buy games. Even a non-shoot-'em-up die-hard (like myself) will take to it with ease.
Mental Image (Virus Free Pd) (Amiga 500)
As a compilation it's pretty good. The games are varied enough to suit most tastes.
