Lode Runner (Software Projects)
The animation of the characters is smoothly done and they exhibit quite a large range of movements.
A high educational quality and an imaginative use of the micro.
Griddle And Matchplay (Clockwork Computing)
These are fair first programs from Clockwork.
Minor irritations such as spelling mistakes - there was one in the instruction screen of each game - marred what would have been a first-rate package.
The program is quite well error trapped and has a few rather gruesome touches.
It does not pretend to take the place of a CNC lathe, but it does rightly claim to act as a foolproof, and much cheaper, early-training resource.
Microba might be of most interest to teachers and students of CSE and "O" Level biology and human biology courses.
A winner... A fun game to suit all ages with plenty of amusing cartoon-like graphics.
Picture Logic (Addison-Wesley)
I see this package as an expensive, inferior Logo surrogate, which I cannot recommend.
The game is not too difficult and I feel it will prove popular with the younger generation of game addicts.
Original it is, addictive, I'm afraid, it isn't - perhaps I'm too old for it.
The problem with Mayday was that there was nothing special enough about it to hold my attention.
