Graphically fair, reasonably complex but rather difficult to control. Airborne Ranger falls a bit uneasily between simulation and arcade game. See before you buy.

Trivial Pursuit (Domark)

Novel version of a very simple quiz concept.

Motorbike Madness (Mastertronic Added Dimension)

It's pretty blinking difficult to control the bike; it tends to jump suddenly from left to right, rather than coming around smoothly.

Rex (Martech)

It's tremendous fun working your way through the screens, using the anti-grav elevators, blast-away rocks and floating platforms to reach the Tower of Zenith and blow it to bits.

Advanced Pinball (Codemasters)

Frightfully easy and amazingly boring. All you do is watch a little white circle bounce all over the screen doing absolutely no damage to your nerves at all.

Jet Set Willy 2 (Mastertronic)

Famous platforms and ladders game. Looks dated now but is still tricky to play.

Pools (Basic Software Services)

A mediocre pools prediction program. At £79.95, it's hard to judge whether tho author or any purchasers are the more barmy!

Typhoon (Imagine)

Quite a good game and one well worth taking a look at, though the monochrome colour scheme might cause some problems, as it nearly always does.

Power Pyramids (Grandslam)

Not so much Power Pyramids, more Tacky Tetrahedrons.

Pac-Mania (Grandslam)

Technically excellent coin-op conversion of the 3D Pacman game.

Arthura (Gremlin)

A run-of-the-mill historical arcade adventure.

Powerplay (Players)

A nice mix of trivia and Greek mythology.

R-Type (Electric Dreams)

Possibly the best space shoot-'em-up conversion ever!

Espionage (Grandslam)

Pretty boring conversion of a pretty boring board game.

Batman (Ocean)

Bam! First-class Batman romp scenario. More like the TV series than the comics.

Netherworld (Hewson)

A slightly disappointing conversion of the not-so-hot Commodore 64 game. Hours of sheer boredom guaranteed.
