Firelady Plus Snakes And Ladders (Unknown) (TI99/4A)
Both games make good, colourful use of graphics, and are aimed squarely at the younger users.
Gatecrasher (Quicksilva) (BBC Model B)
After seeing the difficulty of the later stages I can safely say the £200 reward money will be well-earned.
Mystery Of The Java Star (Shards) (Acorn Electron)
Exceptional value for money and, unlike short action games, the work involved is likely to take a number of days if not weeks.
Mined Out (Quicksilva) (Oric 48K/Atmos)
For more thoughtful players, it should provide some hours of diversion.
Gatecrasher (Quicksilva) (Spectrum 48K)
Enjoyable, simple at first but becoming much more difficult.
Unfortunately, Ugh!'s lasting appeal is questionable because the 'maze' is tiny and there only appears to be one single display.
Encounter (Novagen) (Commodore 64)
Outstanding graphics... The explosions are spectacular as debris flies all over before twinkling away.
