Linked reviews are available to view in full on this site.
The game's programmer says the graphics are 'the best ever on a home computer'... I have to agree with him.
Heist (Softspot) (BBC Model B)
The controls are very simple to master and a very apt tune plays throughout.
Triad (Livewire) (Commodore 64)
I've seen far better on the C64. The graphics are adequate, but the 3D is nothing spectacular.
3D Silicon Fish (Thor) (Commodore Vic 20)
It's not a bad game for the unexpanded Vic - but Silicon Fish is one of those games that leaves you a bit dissatisfied and longing for a good shoot-'em-up!
Antics (Bug Byte) (Spectrum 48K)
The sound effects in the game are great... The game has a control method slightly reminiscent of Manic Miner.
Codename Mat (Micromega) (Spectrum 48K)
Simply brilliant... To do this game justice, this review would have to run for some pages and involve several weeks' reviewing on my part.
Ghouls (Micro Power) (BBC Model B)
Very little needs to be said about Ghouls except that it's a second rate Miner 2049er rip off.
Demolator (Visions) (BBC Model B)
Surprisingly addictive and well executed, with good speed and graphics.
Pilot 64 (Abbex) (Commodore 64)
Pilot 64 isn't really in the same class as Solo Flight or Flight 737 when it comes to playability. Pilots may like it, but I'm afraid, for this reviewer, Pilot 64 will remain grounded.
Flight Path 737 (Anirog) (Commodore 64)
If Anirog improves the instructions, this is a good simulation. It also has some of the best music I've yet heard on the C64.
Solo Flight (U. S. Gold) (Commodore 64)
This must be one of the best flying games around for the Commodore 64. It's a joy to play and will keep flight fans amused for hours!
Beaky (Fantasy) (Spectrum 48K)
A novel game. The graphics are good and some of the movement effects are quite clever.
Hungry Horace (Melbourne House) (Commodore 64)
Offers C64 owners a good Frogger game and ski simulation rolled into one game.
One On One (Electronic Arts) (Commodore 64)
One On One certainly qualifies as one of that rare species - the convincing sports simulation.
Guardian (Alligata) (Acorn Electron)
With its fast action and smooth scrolling screen, Guardian is one of the best games I've seen on the Electron.
Quack A Jack (Severn) (Oric 48K/Atmos)
A fairly amusing little game though it is a bit slow and has poor graphics.
Mugsy (Melbourne House) (Spectrum 48K)
Using a punchy, fast-moving dialogue and stunning graphics, Melbourne House have really created an atmosphere of Al Capone and the world of organised crime.
Decathlon (Activision) (Atari 2600)
I found the game a little monotonous - and the very idea of the 1500m...! I'd prefer to run it than wiggle the joystick for that length of time!
The graphics are quite average, but the game's not at all challenging and, as I said before, incredibly slow. I definitely wouldn't buy or play this game.
Olympic Skier (Mr. Chip) (Commodore 64)
Any game gets monotonous if you play it enough, but this one's more fun than the others.
Bed Bugs (Optima) (BBC Model B)
This is not the most exciting Beeb game I've played. I'd much rather watch the title sequence than play the game itself.
Zaxxon (Synapse) (Commodore 64)
This must be the best action game around for the Commodore 64 at the moment.
Alpha Blaster (Sumlock) (Commodore Vic 20)
Game action is quite addictive, but I'm not sure about the lasting appeal of the game.
H.E.R.O. (Activision) (Atari 2600)
Another original game from Activision who manage to keep the VCS alive and kicking!
River Raid (Activision) (Coleco Vision Games System)
If you want to buy a shoot-'em-up for your Coleco, you now have a good alternative to Zaxxon. The graphics are not as good, but it's a much more playable game.
Pitfall (Activision) (Coleco Vision Games System)
This is the best game yet for the ColevoVision.
Millipede (Atarisoft) (Atari 2600)
Thumping good shoot-'em-up - second only to River Raid for the Atari 2600.
Crystal Castles (Atarisoft) (Atari 2600)
You won't be disappointed with this home conversion... It's fun to play and will take you a reasonable number of plays before you can beat it.
Star Wars (Parker Bros.) (Atari 2600)
Proof that basing a game on a successful film is no guarantee of a good cartridge.
Stone Of Sisyphus (Unknown) (Atari XE/XL)
If you have an Atari with a disc drive and fancy something completely different, this is the game for you.
Time Warp (English) (Atari 400/800)
This game looked reasonable at the start, but turned out to be a great disappointment.
Vampire Castle (Micrograf) (BBC Model B)
The game is moderately easy and should appeal to part-time adventurers who like a bit of spoof horror!
Pharoah's Tomb (A 'n F) (Acorn Electron)
Not an adventure, an arcade game, or a puzzle game, but all of these rolled into one in a way that makes trying to enjoy any aspect a virtual impossibility.
Heroes Of Karn (Interceptor Micros) (Commodore 64)
The range of vocabulary is rather limited and the replies give no indication as to which word is not understood.
Mountains Of Ket (Incentive) (Spectrum 48K/128K)
A fast response and clearly laid out screen enhance this adventure with a difference.
Games For Girls (Cases Computer Simulations) (Spectrum 48K)
The most patronising blurbs and worst-looking inlays, coupled with the world's most boring games. I'll stick to knitting.
Starcross (Infocom) (Atari XE/XL)
An adventure that should keep even the most hardened adventurers on their toes for many hours, whilst being light-hearted enough for the whole family to enjoy.
Horror Castle (A 'n F) (Dragon 32)
A game I can recommend to anyone with a Dragon 32. It gave me hours of pleasure and I'm sure it will do the same for you!
Castle Blackstar (SCR Adventures) (Dragon 32)
Don't go down in the woods to play, don't quit, and watch your mouth... and you might enjoy Castle Blackstar.
Wings Of War (Salamander) (Dragon 32)
I can recommend this game to anyone who enjoys a good but not too serious adventure.
Colditz (Phipps Associates) (Spectrum 48K/128K)
A competent adventure which will take some time to complete.
