The arcade section is great and very fast... But it may take some time, not to mention eye strain, to reach the highest level and get the password for the adventure.

The graphics are good and the animation is amongst the best I have seen on the Atari.

Defence Force (Tansoft) (Oric 48K)

With its excellent graphics, Defence Force will bring hours of fun to the lives of trigger-happy arcade fans who want a fast game for their Oric.

Atic Atac (Ultimate) (Spectrum 48K)

Must rate as the best yet from Ultimate.

Acheron's Rage (Softek) (Oric 48K)

The graphics are quite good in places. The Gor ships move very smoothly and flap their wings, but the player's ship rotates badly in large steps.

Dare Devil Dennis (Visions) (BBC Model B)

Very simplistic controls and a game better suited to the younger age groups.

Stonkers (Imagine) (Spectrum 48K)

If you're fed up with zapping everything in sight from Space Invaders to Mutant Telephones and man-eating toilets then this will be good value.

Gorf (CBS Electronics) (Coleco Vision Games System)

If you liked the arcade game, you'll like the home version too.

Smurf (CBS Electronics) (Atari 2600)

If you like cute games then Smurf is the ultimate in cuteness. Personally I liked this version better than the original - except it's still got that irritating little tune!

Art Master (Milton Bradley) (Vectrex)

Adds a new dimension to your Vectrex. Although doodling in light is fun, the real attraction of this cartridge is the animate option.

Decathlon (Activision) (Atari 2600)

Your chance to go for gold. The most playable sports simulation for the Atari 2600 - for up to four players.

Super Cobra (Parker Brothers) (Intellivision)

Another good game for Parker Brothers - filling a gap in this type of scrolling shoot-'em-up for the Intellivision.
