2 Player Soccer Squad offers nothing to the players with its meaningless options. It simply isn't entertaining.
I'll give Chevvy Chase a thumbs-up - I think I'll take it home with me (ta-ra!)
CJ's American Antics (Codemasters)
The puzzles are as tough as the baddies - if I had ten pence for every time CJ got spiked I would be very rich by now.
Darkman is a big game - huge even - but its extreme difficulty is very off-putting, otherwise it would be a classic.
You get the feeling that the adventure is more of a vehicle to hang the humour on rather than a game in its own right.
The Return Of The Witch Lord (Gremlin)
These extra missions are greatly appreciated as I'd solved most of the quests in the original game.
Sorry, but I didn't enjoy Hob's Hoard. It would have been more intriguing to see this game as a 128K version, offering more freedom with the interactive side of play.
It's difficult but rewarding... Though it can be frustrating due to an unforgiving linearity to the design.
Manchester United Europe (Krisalis)
It's very strange that the match is so poor when the rest of the features are well presented.
Even though the game is graphically pretty good, the dratted police cars quickly crush any impulse to continue play.
Professional Footballer (Cult)
Professional Footballer has the makings of a neat game, but as it stands it's unambitious with an infuriating training method.
Though Renegade III's story is a bit bottom of the barrel, it's a really fast-paced, fun beat-'em-up with great graphics and playability.
A tedious game lacking anything to keep you playing beyond your first go.
A good game tarnished with a couple of irritations but otherwise recommended.
The Untouchables (The Hit Squad)
There's never a let up in the pace: it's slam-bang action all the way as the player's thrown from one situation to the next.
