Turbo OutRun (U. S. Gold) (Amiga 500)
Very sad. The potential conversion of the year has turned out to be nothing more than an over-typed piece of average software.
Moonwalker (U. S. Gold) (Amiga 500)
My overall impression of the game is that it's limited. The first two sections are almost identical, while the last two follow very similar lines. This will go down well with fans of the film and the artist. But, for the rest of us, it's a miss.
Hard Drivin' (Domark) (Amiga 500)
The raw thrills of Stunt Car Racer aren't there, but these are replaced by an extremely absorbing challenge.
A definite for kill-crazy Commandos. It's jam-packed with ketchup, but if you're after a healthy shoot-'em-up, you might choose something else.
Future Wars (Delphine) (Amiga 500)
A perfect game for the long winter months. It has some excellent animated sequences, gorgeous backdrops and a multitude of problems and characters to face.
Retrograde (Thalamus) (Commodore 64/128)
It seems to me that the programmers have taken Drop Zone and merged it with Morpheus, and the end result is far from brilliant.
Stunt Car Racer (Micro Style) (Amiga 500)
An amazing game, almost perfect in fact. A 'must buy' for all Amiga owners.
Xenophobe (Micro Style) (Amiga 500)
Xenophobe on the Amiga is pretty average, but will be sought after by fans of the original.
Fighting Soccer (Activision) (Amiga 500)
If Activision hoped to net a winner with Fighting Soccer then this effort is well wide of the posts.
The Ninja Warriors (Virgin Games) (Amiga 500)
Should be a surprise contender for the top spot this Christmas or there's no Santa Claus.
Weird Dreams (Rainbird) (Amiga 500)
Graphically one of the prettiest games around and obviously very different to most games. I'd like to have seen the programmers go further though. If Dali was an influence, as they suggest, they've sanitised him by removing the sex, the disease and the decay.
Myth (System 3) (Commodore 64)
It has just about everything necessary to make it a classic: amazing graphics, amazing sound, and fantastic gameplay make it a gamesplayer's dream.
Rock 'N Roll (Electronic Arts) (Amiga 500)
Beg, steal, borrow or even buy a copy, but get it somehow.
Keef The Thief (Electronic Arts) (Amiga 500)
With a very easy play method, I can heartily recommend this to any Bard's Tale fan, or to just about anybody else who enjoys an amusing RPG.
Safari Guns (Infogrames) (Amiga 500)
The aim of the game is to draw attention to the green movement, but sadly the intentions are lost in the gameplay. Less of an education, more of a mixed shoot-'em-up, and even without the ecology it's still only an average game.
Snare (Thalamus) (Commodore 64/128)
A fun, original and challenging game that'll keep you busy for a good few hours.
Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade (Lucasfilm) (Amiga 500)
An intriguing adventure that's a pleasure to play.
Turbo OutRun (U. S. Gold) (Commodore 64/128)
A fast fun game and a conversion that will even please the sceptics.
Stunt Car Racer (Micro Style) (Commodore 64/128)
A conversion in the true sense of the word and a top notch product.
