The graphics have translated nicely from the arcade as has the gameplay. There's really nothing wrong with this conversion, other than the fact that it's not very interesting.

This game is slick in every respect but one: The annoying loading times between the events.

Good graphics, a bit of humour and a well-structured adventure that'll give you no end of fun. Well worth the money.

Striker Manager (Cult) (Commodore 64/128)

It's not a bad little game but the management sections are a little limited and, to be honest, the action sequences might as well not be there.

Professional Footballer (Cult) (Commodore 64/128)

Okay, this game may be different in its approach, but sadly that approach is crap. Unless you're a total and utter football-crazy zomboid, give it a miss.

2 Player Soccer Squad (Cult) (Commodore 64/128)

A text-only affair which tends to run slowly in places, but it's pretty involved and allows a friend to join you in the fun.

The Match (Cult) (Commodore 64/128)

The presentation is pretty good, placing this one well above many of Cult Games' other simulations in the quality stakes.

Jahangir Khan World Championship Squash (Krisalis) (Commodore 64/128)

Given that it's such good fun to play (especially in two player mode), it's one of those games that you'll keep to one side of your C64 and come back to when nothing else takes your fancy.

Over The Net (Genias) (Commodore 64/128)

The simplicity of a two-on-two, competition could have led to an uncomplicated wheeze that you'd come back to time after time. But the way Over The Net plays, it's just not worth the frustration.
