I would not recommend this book as any way to learn good programming and I am only moderately enthusiastic about the games, which now seem rather outdated.

Anyone who is keen to develop their own computer games should read this book, but it will have less to offer those who are just looking for a book of listings.
A delight to play. The graphics are excellent, smooth and cute. The basic idea of climbing ladders and avoiding adversaries isn't new but that doesn't seem to matter.
If you are looking for one special game this Christmas, then you should seriously consider this one.
An average game that will appeal to some, and create a sense of loathing in others; see it before you buy it!
A coloured text, split-screen affair with lots of well-written descriptions. It has a nice 'feel' to it and is not too difficult.
This adventure has all the usual ingredients, but in that is its weakness. I couldn't find that magic something which is needed to keep me battling forward.
