Compilation cassettes are all the rage at the moment and they provide good value for money. Micro Power, once the biggest name in Electron software, have conjured up their own collection of ten of their well-known titles. There is a wide range of interest covered in this collection and there should be something to suit everyone.

My favourites out of the ten games are: Stock Car, which is a fun car racing game for one or two players. Felix Meets The Evil Weevils a platform and ladders variant which has some original features and addictive gameplay. Chess is always a worthy game and this version has some powerful options and features. The game I enjoy most is Galactic Commander as this provides me with the challenge of landing a space module in some very awkward places. The other programs are: Escape From Moonbase Alpha, Swag, Bandits At 3 O Clock, Adventure (An original title, eh?), Cybertron Mission and European Knowledge.

These are all pretty good games and together they make an attractive buy. The cassette also contains some software which will allow you to use any of the games (except Adventure and European Knowledge) with the Plus 1 joystick. Compilations are of most value to newer Electron owners who have none, or only a few, of the programs in the set. Those who have most of the titles anyway might not bother buying this and opt for new software instead - but even if you have five or six of the programs it is still worth buying to get the others.
