April 7th (Zenobi)
Experienced adventurers will shoot through this post-apocalyptic tale pretty darn quick. Nevertheless, its interesting from start to finish as you never quite know what unpleasant surprises await you.
Arnold The Adventurer (Zenobi)
A nice game to play, and is especially good for less experienced adventurers. Great value for money, too!
Bonanza Bros. (US Gold)
A fun little "Spy vs Spy-ish" game that falls down in important areas. It's far too fiddly to make the grade, but a quick blag now and then is good fun.
Championship 3D Snooker (Zeppelin Games)
An absolutely playable, cheap and cheerful snooker sim. Call your mates, raid the fridge and get them all round for a quick game.
Emlyn Hughes International Soccer (Touchdown)
An ace game. Both bits are well-presented, extremely involving and, most importantly, staggeringly good fun to play.
Hit-Pack 2 (Zeppelin Games)
Solidly average. You can't really find anything about it that's blatantly crummy, but at the same time there's nowt to make you hop from one foot to another.
International 5-a-Side (Zeppelin Games)
Considering Match Day 2, the Speccy's finest footy game, came out yonks ago, it's remarkable that this manages to be so bad. The fourth worst game I've ever played.
Italy 1990 (Kixx)
The computer teams are so crap that you don't actually need any clever stuff to rack up easy 14-0 victories and the game features a stupendously ridiculous multiload. Just puts the tin lid on it, really.
Klax (The Hit Squad)
Stupendous! Brilliantly playable, though, and with an addiction factor measured in triple figures with lots of zeroes added on.
The descriptions of the various places you can visit on your travels are gorgeous and the atmosphere they help create really does go to make this game a classic.
Sly Spy: Secret Agent (The Hit Squad)
This could be a decent little game without all the faffing around, but it's almost totally ruined. Lazy programming - I'm sick of it.
Zoids: The Battle Begins (Alternative)
Incredibly repetitive... the graphics are totally crap... nothing very much ever really happens and it's one of the most frustrating games you'll ever play.
