2 Player Soccer Squad (Cult Games)
With one player, I'd say this was uninspiring. However, that extra player gains it a bit of bite, so I'll say, it's a very enjoyable management game.
A bit samey, but also very addictive and cheap... By all means, scoop it up.
Harmless, pointless fun - the kind of game you'd play on a Sunday afternoon, when you can't face that English essay and your brain's running on auto.
Continental Circus (Mastertronic Plus)
Buy it if you're desperate for (yet) another racer. But know that it's not that fast, not that playable and not that good.
Defenders Of The Earth (Hi-Tec)
Technically very impressive... A bit hard, however and, despite the different scenery, the gameplay doesn't change at all.
Driller has been a Megagame, is a Megagame and will always be a Megagame.
A very simple game... If you've got a soft spot for shoot- 'em-ups, and you don't like yours particularly hard, then I'd say this is certainly one worth 'checking out' (if not buying).
A surprisingly weak compilation from Virgin (especially after Edition One). One goodie, two humdrums and a duffer. The Fury would come after buying it!
Full Throttle 2 (Zeppelin Games)
A good fun game with small graphics and typically fast 3D scrolling, but it does seem overly harsh on bad riders.
I think it's time Tom Frost left his split-screen games behind and concentrated on writing a strong new storyline, rather than just twiddling with old ideas.
Looks like a cheap and cheerful management sim. Except it isn't cheap, and there isn't that much to do.
The best cutsie platformer since Pang, so you'd better go and grab a copy pretty darn pronto.
Engaging arcade adventure/good board game conversion. Hours of fun with your friends!
Jahangir Khan's World Championship Squash (Krisalis)
An extremely good representation of the game and if you're into this kind of thing you'll probably end up playing like Mr Jahangir himself. It'll just take years of time and energy, that's all!
Kick Box Vigilante (Zeppelin Games)
Boring, repetitive and unoriginal. It really is a complete load of, to coin a phrase, crap.
Lone Wolf: The Mirror of Death (Audiogenic)
Spanky, Spiffy, Skillo, Dandy, Snazzy, Wazzy and Corky! A treat for the eyes, a joy to the ears and a blinking great (but tough) arcade adventure to boot.
Operation Hormuz (Alternative)
Not one for the true flight-sim addict (not enough keys for a start), and not one for the frantic shoot-'em-upper either as a considerable amount of practice and thought is needed throughout.
Mix up bouncing springs, re-igniting bombs and heavy weights that drop on you if you stand around thinking too much, and you've got the funniest game since Cliff Hanger.
The Real Ghostbusters (The Hit Squad)
There's nothing quite like legging it away from a couple of demons 'cos your gun is empty, rounding a corner and running into a horde of slobbering zombies. The game is much better in two-player mode too, with the best co-operation-or-competition element since Gauntlet.
One of the better 3D race games, although a couple of gripes knock it down a bit.
An addictive and very good-looking shoot-'em-up. It's not perfect, but it's still the biz.
