If I were a manufacturer of a speech synthesis product I would be greatly worried by the arrival of Speech! This is one utility which cannot be beaten on quality or price.

Mr. Men Magic Storymaker (Mirrorsoft)
Full marks to the Mr. Men! It can also be used by early readers as a source of reading material and the focus of written work.
The most enjoyable game I have played on the BBC Micro in ages. It is overflowing with good graphics, humour and plenty of fizz.
An enjoyable challenge that offers an excellent insight into the world of movie cartoon creation.
Educational Compendium (Clares)
This compendium is possibly worth looking at, but don't think you'll get up-to-date software.
The graphics are quite good, sound is used well and the BBC clock has never been so useful.
