Acornsoft has set the shoot-'em-up flying standard with Aviator. This Spitfire does not compute.
It's hard to find fault with Typing Tutor. The program has certainly proved successful for me - now I can type.
You must continuously hammer the Shift key to stop Hank blowing up with anger, yet try not to hammer it too much, in case he blows up with exhaustion.
Is it worth buying? Well, try it out first if you can - you may find you like it; I'm afraid I tired of the game very quickly.
On the whole I quite like the game. It has large colourful sprites and there are some nice touches that make it a little different.
Market Gardener (W. W. Electronics)
Thumbs-down... the tidy layout is cancelled out by the lack of a quantitative aspect and the idea of a long-term strategy.
I'd put this one high on my list due to its simplicity and polished appearance.
If you're scanning these reviews looking for an interesting game, try Estra. You won't be disappointed.
The Other Side Of Heaven (Kissing The Pink)
Garish abstract forms move rather jerkily around the screen, and faces open and close their mouths like goldfish, in time with the lyrics.
Glider Pilot is a good package and a good introduction to gliding.
Pushes the concept of arcade adventure games to its limits... Definitely one of the big sellers of 1985.
Brian Jacks' Superstar Challenge (Martech)
The main program is probably one of the best of its type. What a pity the same care wasn't taken with the sound and the instructions.
The quality of the graphics is high, with excellent title pages and various shades of colour to produce the vault pictures.
Fast, highly addictive and well recommended.
