I'd recommend it for a quiet evening's entertainment. The managing section was very simple to use and definitely fun. Read Review
No longer can the relegated manager blame lady luck for his downfall. By stepping out on to the pitch with his lads he has nobody to blame but himself. Read Review
Here we go, here we go, here we go...!
Superior Soccer to be exact.
Superior Soccer offers you the best of both worlds:
Test your passing and dribbling skills with Arcade Soccer or, alternatively, your Management skills with Football Management.
Whatever your preference, you can't lose with Superior Soccer!
If you choose to play "1 Player" game, you can select the "Skill Level" of the computer (between 0 and 9) from the 'Play Soccer' menu. This also determines the skill level of your goalie. In the "2 Player" game, "Skill Level" determines the skills of both goalies.
You have control of the player that is surrounded by arrows. He will remain selected until you stop moving, control will then switch to the player nearest the ball. The next-nearest player runs with you, so you can pass to him. Your goalie is controlled by the computer.
The scanner at the top left-hand side displays all the players and the position of the ball. The flashing dots indicate those players controlled both by yourself and your opponent.
See additional controls for player movement.

Dribbling:

Heading:
When the ball is in the air (watch for the ball's shadow), press the Fire key.
Slide Tackle:
Move in any direction and press the Fire key.
Corners, Goal Kicks and Throw-Ins:

You initially choose one team from the four groups of teams available. Your chosen team is then placed in division four. Using your management skills, your aim is to take your team to the top of the first division.
A season comprises: 11 matches, in other words you play every other team in your division. At the end of any season, the top two teams will be promoted; the bottom two relegated.
Fixtures, results or league tables are displayed on-screen. Select the "Go on" option to continue.
On the team selectin screen you must de-select players until you have a final 11. The white square at the left-hand side of each player's name indicates whether he is selected or not. Once you have chosen your team, move the arrow to the row of dots and press RETURN.
Your finances will vary and are dependent on how much is spent on each match and how many people turn up to see you.
You can use your money to buy players and likewise gain money by selling the odd player: It depends on the market. Your team could suffer if you decide to not buy any new players, and bear in mind that your players get tired and need a rest every now and then.
