Trap the Statix as it twists and turns in this arcade classic, but watch out for sparks...

The Game

The Statix is a dangerous electric charge which twists and turns unpredictably as it jealously guards its territory. Travelling round the boundary you are safe, but once you step off you become vulnerable to the prowling Statix. Only when you have gained control of 75% of the area will you be secure - and that means drawing new boundaries to fill in blocks and thereby exposing yourself to the Statix!

On top of that, you will have to avoid the sparks which follow you, and watch out for fuses which leap up your trail if you hesitate while drawing a new boundary. And if you manage to cut off 75% or more of the area from the Statix, you will have to face a more aggressive and faster moving Statix on the next screen!

This exciting arcade classic will test your ingenuity and your reaction times as you try to outwit the Statix and avoid the sparks.

Points are awarded for each block you fill in, triple points if you keep your cool and draw the boundary slowly, and a bonus is calculated on the amount over 75% that you fill in.

Game Controls

Z - Left, X - Right, : - Up, / - Down

To start a new boundary, press ] while moving in the desired direction. To draw a boundary, slowly hold down ] while drawing.

The volume of the sound effects can be adjusted before the start of a game with the S and Q keys.

Joysicks may also be used. Fire will start a new boundary.
