4 great games on one cassette. Produced under licence.
Look back through the dark mirror of the seasons to the time when the Eagles deserted this land of Albion to the ravaging of the saxons. Look back to an age of bloody wai and mysterious magickes.
You are Artura, son of the Pendragon. To stem the tide of invaders you must unite the petty kingdoms of Albion under your leadership as Ard-Righ. To do this you need to find the sacred Treasures of Albion, hidden when the eagles came. Only Meerdyn knows where, but he has vanished! Your only clue is that Morgause, your evil half sister, has kidnapped Nimue, Merdyn's apprentice. You must find Nimue and rescue her...
To travel to Morgause's stronghold you must use the mystical wheel of Cerriddwen. You must then fight your way through Morgause's dun to seek out Numue. By finding and using the Rune Stones, stolen by Morgause, you can travel once again on Cerriddwen's Wheel. Only by finding all of the runes can you hope to return to Camelod...
The place, Albion, now the British Isles, the time the fifth century A.D. In this epic quest you play the part of Artura, an idealistic British warlord, intent on unifying the warring petty kingdoms of Britain.
His adviser and friend, Merdyn the Mage, has vanished, foul play is suspected. Merdyn's knowledge is vital to Artura's dream of unifying Britain. The only way the Chieftains of the warring tribles would accept a High King would be if the lost treasures of Albion were in his possession...
You have received news that your half-sister, Morgause, has kidnapped Merdyn's apprentice, Nimue. This, of course, has made you very suspicious of Morgause's intentions towards Britian. You decide to travel to Morgause's Dun to rescue Nimue using the last vestiges of magic available to you. This means that you can get there but not return unless you find the runes that Morgause has.
Use a joystick in port 2. Alternatively, use:
O - Left, P - Right, CTRL- Up, LEFT SHIFT - Down, SPACE - Fire, R - Rune Mode, F1 - Music Toggle
Please note: The R key is for entering and leaving the Rune Mode. This can also be used as a Pause key as it pauses the game.
Hostile All-Terrain Encounter
The year is AD2320 and the Galaxy is in turmoil. With the alien threat ever increasing, the lack of experienced assault personnel is severely undermining the defences of civilised sectors. You are needed to repel the hostile alien forces - but you have to qualify first. Prepare to go to Stripworld - the training ground for all Galactic Fighter Pilots!
Initially controlling a Star Fighter, plasma cells lining the route must be collected and taken through the barrier. Upon completion of this level, you will take the controls of the ground assault vehicle. Manoeuvre the GAV in the next barrier, again collecting Plasma Cells to power the waiting Star Fighter. This will continue until you can advance no further.
To test you to the simulated alien defences line the way and must be overcome. Ground skimming projectiles, intelligent missiles, enemy star fighters, mine barriers and many more obstacles will challenge even the most advanced Fighter Pilot.
You begin with four lives (one C64/128). Each time your craft is destroyed, a life is lost. Extra lives are gained by collecting the plasma cells (the remains of the nuclear generators). If your craft is hit whilst carrying one or more cells, one cell will be destroyed whilst saving you from destruction. The number of plasma cells carried through determines the number of lives for the next level.
If you lose all your lives beyond level two, Central Command will send you back one level.
H.A.T.E. has 30 levels, divided into three stages:
Levels 1-10: Trainee
Levels 11-20: Fighter Pilot
Levels 21-30: Commander
Upon completion of levels 11/21 all subsequent games will begin at these levels. To return to level 1, the game must be reloaded.
Note: Touching the smart bomb (C64 version only) causes it to detonate, destroying everything on screen except your ship. This includes any plasma cells that you ship may be carrying.
Use a joystick to dive (up), climb (down) or bank left and right. Fire lasers with the fire button.
Alternatively, the following keyboard controls can be used:
K - Bank Left, L - Bank Right, Q - Climb, A - Dive, SPACE BAR - Fire Lasers
The take off and landing procedure are controlled by autopilot.

Alternatively, the following keyboard controls can be used:
K - Left, L - Right, Q - Advance, A - Retreat, SPACE BAR - Fire Lasers, Q plus SPACE - Launch Bomb
P/ENTER - Pause On/Off, G & U - Abort
Note: You are unable to move forward whilst launching a bomb.
You are Randolph (a hero). Your quest is to rescue your beloved maiden from the evil clutches of Spegbott the Terrible. You receive an inter-dimensional distress call from the S.S. Rustbucket, the ship she was travelling in. The message reads:
"CRASHED ON THE PLANET 2749 OF THE ZRAGG SYSTEM STOP
REQUIRE ASSISTANCE STOP
PRINCESS AMELIA CAPTURED STOP
TELEPORT CO-ORDINATES 217,502 STOP
PLEASE COME QUICKLY STOP"
You pull on your all-purpose attack suit (with lazer-assisted plasma rifle) and rush to your local teleport station.
Three blips later, you find yourself inside the S.S. Rustbucket. So begins your quest to find your beloved Artura.
You progress through twenty gruelling levels, fighting your way through the wrecked space cruiser. Defending yourself against the Berzerka Security Droids, you finally reach the planet's surface where you must do battle against mystical creatures to ultimately reach Spegbott's castle where you will find your beloved, guarded by the awesome Henchodroid.
Defeat him in mortal combat to ultimately release the beautiful Amelia.
