Dragon Breed (Activision)

Although looked at critically, this is nothing more than a variation on the scrolling weapon-collecting shoot-'em-up, it's a fine work.

Extreme (Digital Integration)

Good game, good gameplay, good music, good grief! Why not buy this and blast a few aliens?

Line Of Fire (US Gold)

Shoots straight from the hip and blows away most competition. Neat graphics, highly buyable.

Silkworm (Virgin)

Top hole spiffing blast-'em-up which all the chaps should bally well buy if they can.

Xenon (Virgin)

This is a classic.

Double Dragon (Mastertronic Plus)

Very poor, Vic.Don't be tempted if you already have anything similar.

Gemini Wing (Virgin)

Unusual, imaginative, but slightly eye-straining vertical scroller; worth a squint.

Wheels Of Fire (Domark)

You really have to be a driving maniac to go for this compilation, especially since Hard Drivin' drags down the overall mark so much.

TNT (Domark)

If you don't have Zybots, Dragon Spirit or APB then TNT is well worth considering.

This is a hot one - check it out!

Has to be the best choice compilation for this Christmas.

Lotus Esprit Turbo Challenge (Gremlin)

A great race game with good graphics and a silky movement. Vroom!

Wacky Darts (Codemasters)

Zany darts game that adds a touch of madness to the potbellies sport.

Super Cars (Gremlin)

Vroom, vroom. If you can't afford a Maserati for Xmas, Super Cars might be some consolation.

Tilt (Codemasters)

Odd gravity based game that suffers with bad control and a frustrating level of playability.
