This is a bit like a giant sliding block puzzle, added aggro coming by way of the now familiar group of vicious robots. Read Review
The originality and good graphics of Renegade Robots make it extremely addictive and well worth the money. Read Review
Your planet is currently under threat of invasion and, to counter this threat, scientists have invented a totally new weapon. To eliminate the possibility of any security leak during its manufacture, the production plant is "manned" entirely by sophisticated robots.
However, a series of explosions have not only halted production but have also caused the robots' control cubes to be scattered. The now violent and deadly robots are preventing repair work and time is running out...
Your task is to save the plant by re-aligning the three key control cubes or, if this is not possible, by destroying the renegade robots.
Press 1, 2 or 3 to select your skill level then indicate whether you will be using the Keyboard or the Joystick.
In order to accomplish your task, you have the ability to slide the cubes by pushing them in the desired direction. Attempting to push a cube towards an adjacent border or cube causes it to disintegrate (the key cubes cannot be destroyed).
There are two timers in the game, namely the Preview (the magenta counter) and the Bonus timer (the white counter). The Preview allows you time to work out your plan of action, but if you move sooner then the preview time immediately expires and your mission will have begun. If the bonus timer expires then you move onto the next screen.
Your score is the yellow number and points are awarded as follows:
a) Re-aligning the key cubes scores 2,000 points for each remaining robot if none of the cubes are touching a border, otherwise 1,000 each.
b) A sliding cube which destroys a robot scores 200 points for the first hit, doubling for each subsequent hit (e.g. destroying three robots with one slide scores 200+400+800=1,400 points).
An extra life is awarded if the key cubes are aligned, such that the flashing cube is between the other two and none of the three is touching a border.
