You are competing in the traditional decathlon events in the traditional decathlon manner - trying to beat a qualifying time or distance in each event. It is recommended that since each event requires its own special technique you familiarise yourself with each event and practise it to master the playing technique required to complete it, before attempting the full ten event decathlon.

How To Play
Select from the menu your choice:
Play all events
Practise single events
To select a single event, a further menu will be offered: 1-8 (as above)
When you are ready press Space/Fire to start each event.
How To Score
You must beat the qualifying time or distance for each event. Your score is dependent on how well you beat that qualifying time or distance. If you are successful a tick will appear in the fouls column. If you foul or fail to qualify a cross will appear in the fouls column. When you choose to take a decathlon test, the best score for each event is totalled and an overall decathlon points score is given.
How To Move
To select joystick, press Fire.
To select keyboard, press Space.
On the keyboard, select your left/right foot keys and your jump/throw key.
