Oblivion gets our vote for the title of "Most Addictive Arcade Game For The BBC Micro". Life starts deceptively easily, with aliens gently free-falling down the screen to meet their death in your laser fire. Things soon heat up and you find yourself with a pack of aliens relentlessly zeroing in on your position whilst one of their friends hands directly above you, intent on being a nuisance, and bombs hale down around you.
Just as you start to get used to surviving under these conditions, the rules start to change slightly. The attackers' bombs start to travel in snake-like paths, the annoying yellow-devils which used to hang over your heard start to hang a little to one side and cause even more problems. And what are those things which have just joined the attack? And why does everything have to keep getting faster and faster?
