A typically colourful, smooth action Micro Power effort. The graphic apples and cherries are superbly drawn. Read Review
The whole program is very well written, a delight to play, and, I'm sure, a bestseller for the Beeb. Read Review

Graphics are good and clear but the lack of a high score chart is surprising. Read Review
A combination of Pac-Man and those Dig-Dug games and very effective it is too. You'll need a fast hand and a good eye to win. Read Review
A difficult, but not impossible game, pretty good animation, a scoring system operating at super-human levels and both pause and quiet facilities. Read Review
One of the best conversions I have seen to date. Read Review
You control the wily wizard who can tunnel through the earth to collect the cherries. Pursuing him is a band of Umphs who chase him round the screen. These can be killed in either of two ways. The wizard owns a Crystal Ball which, when thrown, bounces round the screen until it hits something, or is recaught by the wizard. If it hits a creature, the Ball disappears for several seconds before re-materialising in the wizard's hand.
Alternatively, he can kill a pursuer by running under an apple or pushing an apple from the side. It will fall onto a Monster if timed correctly.
If an Umph gets stuck, it turns into a Digger for a while - these tunnel through the earth towards you.
When all the Umphs have left their base at the centre of the screen, a lump of food appears. Walking over this causes the Umphs and Diggers to halt in their tracks, the screen turns red and the Maras emerge from the Letter Monster. The Maras eat any apples which block their way.
They turn into apples when they are killed. This is achieved with the Crystal Ball, by squashing them with an apple (but only if they are travelling towards you from the left or right, not from below), or by killing the Letter Monster. On killing the Letter Monster or all the Maras, the screen returns to its original colour and the Umphs and Diggers come alive again.
Each screen is completed by killing all the Umphs (6 on the first two screens, 8 thereafter), or by eating all the cherries.
Letter Monsters emerge from their den every 5,000 points or when you walk over the food. Each Letter Monster spells a letter from the word EXTRA. When all five have been killed, you will be awarded an extra life.
There are ten screens in all, apart from the first, is shaped like the screen number.
