Judge Dredd (Acclaim) (Sega Genesis)
A little familiar-looking, but still very playable and a bit platformer. More originality would have been nice.
Virtual Hydlide (T&E Soft) (Sega Saturn (EU Version))
This game's novelty factor shouldn't be under-estimated, and it is quite an ingenious game. The Saturn's first dipped-toe into adventure gaming works quite well.
Zero The Kamikaze Squirrel (Marubeni) (Sega Mega Drive (EU Version))
A healthy portion of platform action, but one that we've seen time and time before.
Indiana Jones Greatest Adventures (US Gold) (Sega Mega Drive (EU Version))
Fast, exciting and full of variety... It isn't an overly easy game and the 28 levels should keep even an accomplished player well occupied.
Motherbase (Sega) (Sega 32X (EU Version))
A somewhat ugly blaster whose playability far exceeds its looks. The most concentrated action the 32X has seen yet.
Stellar Assault (Sega) (Sega 32X (EU Version))
One of those rare games that both looks impressive and is satisfying to play. It's a blast.
Phantasy Star IV (Sega) (Sega Mega Drive (EU Version))
The best pure RPG for the Megadrive, but deemed fit only for the 'Land of the Free'.
Side Pocket 2 (Data East) (Sega Saturn (JP Version))
Pool without the pull. Neither sleazy enough for pool hall punters, or exciting enough for casual punters.
Alien Soldier (Sega) (Sega Mega Drive (EU Version))
A modern classic that turns the concept of platform blasting inside-out, but that suffers from being a bit samey.
Astal (Sega) (Sega Saturn (JP Version))
A beautiful but empty vessel that offers poor value for money despite the awesome graphics.
Wayne Gretzky And The NHPLA All-Stars (Time Warner) (Sega Mega Drive (EU Version))
Laughably poor... Search out a cheap copy of one of the EA games instead.
Powerdrive (US Gold) (Sega Game Gear (EU Version))
An okay racer that suffers from some annoying gameplay faults. But there are a lot of tracks and a lot of cars, if you're a patient person.
