A fast reaction game for the fleet of hand and mind. Can you surround the enemy with your light trace or blast your way out of trouble with your light cannon? The better you are at staying alive, the more cunning the enemy become and they increase in number and speed.
An absorbing game with excellent graphics, sound and full scoreboard.
Your light cycle is represented by the Yellow arrow head and opposing you is the enemy represented by the Red arrow head(s). During each round your aim is to surround the enemy with your light cycle thus causing him to crash. At the same time, you must avoid becoming trapped yourself.
The Yellow arrow head can be controlled with the following keys:
] - Left, RETURN - Right, A - Up, Z - Down, SHIFT - Accelerate, TAB - Light Cannon
Your opponents consist of one, two or three light cycles and their traces are quck enough not to crash unless forced into a corner.
Normally, you will travel more slowly than the Red light cycles but you can accelerate by using the SHIFT key. This is essential for quick and effective victories and high scores.
You are supplied with a light cannon which is fired by the TAB key which will shoot out a blue beam to clear the way ahead through any light traces Red or Yellow. This is useful for escaping from a dead end.
Certain Super Enemy light cycles may jump your light trace or even stop instead of crashing. The latter will only continue if their path is cleared by a shot from your light cannon using the TAB key, so you should save some shots for freeing stopped enemy.
In later rounds 'Sparkle Lines' may appear on the computer grid as the round starts. These can sometimes be crossed but you do so at your own risk.
An extra man is awarded every 5,000 points scored but the maximum number of men is 9. An extra 5 light cannon shots are awarded per round or 1 if you crash and have to try the round again.
