Quibbles like that aside, Labyrinth seems to have hit just the right balance between action, graphics, intrigue and other memory-gulping features to provide a very addictive game that will keep you up to the small hours with ease. Read Review
A well thought out and designed program - definitely up to the standard of Acornsoft's Elite. Read Review
A simple but enjoyable game: nothing stunningly original, but well-done with nice sound and graphics. Read Review
Labyrinth isn't a classic, but it is certainly worth taking a look at. Read Review
A game on cassette for the BBC Microcomputer Model B
Guide Mork through the labyrinth, eating fruit to replenish his dwindling energy supply. Crush the Tiger Moths, shoot the Flitterbugs, dodge the Threshers and if you are not too exhausted find and collect the magic crystals which lead to new and more challenging levels of the labyrinth.
Complete with splendid colour graphics, sound effects and a table of high scores, Labyrinth is fully compatible with either keyboard or joysticks.
Labyrinth is designed to be used with Operating System 1.2 or later versions.
Mork is lost in the labyrinth - a hidden world of magic crystals, poison mushrooms, strange creatures and energy-giving fruit. Use your skill and memory to guide him through this monster mae, pushing your creature-crushing boulder and with your gun at the ready. Shoot the Tiger Moths, dodge the Treshers, crush the Flitterbugs but take care - some of your enemies are bullet-proof and others will return your fire, blasting your boulder on to you if it happens to be in the way. Keep an eye on your energy level which is displayed in green at the top left corner of the screen; if it suddenly turns red Mork will die, losing one of his three lives, unless you find and eat some fruit straight away.
The Evil Threshers will run rings around you if you are not careful. On higher levels they change colour, multiply and leave a trail of poison mushrooms behind them.
Shoot, crush and dodge these Rotafloaters but you must be quick - they often attack in groups of three or more!
Some Flitterbugs are red, others are green; the particularly vicious brown variety will sometimes split into a pair of Diamond Demons.
The Killer Cubes are red or green and they always shoot to kill. The green kind will stand their ground, while the red ones dodge around.
The Crazy Crawler's coming and you've lost your boulder. Forget your gun - just run!
Shoot the Diamond Demons on sight before they lay their eggs, resulting in a roomful of the trigger-happy terrors.
Swarms of Tiger Moths are to be found on the higher levels of the labyrinth. You can shoot or crush these fluttering fiends but beware - they never travel alone.
A flash of colour and a flap of wings - but these pretty butterflies carry nasty stings.
If looks could kill! Watch out for this joker - he'll soon wipe the smile off your face.
