Linked reviews are available to view in full on this site.
Skyfox (Ariolasoft) (Commodore 64)
Five skill levels... 15 battle scenarios... Will hold the interest for a very long time.
Dynamite Dan (Mirrorsoft) (Spectrum 48K)
Screens are incredibly eventful, with ladders and lifts, various routes into and out of each room, teleport beams, and an enormous variety of deadly sprites barring your way.
Nick Faldo Plays The Open (Argus Press) (Spectrum 48K)
Like the real game, 'The Open' is addictive in a Quiet sort of way, and once you've started it's hard to stop.
Fearless Freddy (Pocket Money) (Dragon 32)
A disappointing product... All the worse for the most appalling music that I have ever heard on a computer game.
Battle For Midway (PSS) (Spectrum 48K)
An extremely complex war game designed for the intellectual.
Music Studio (Activision) (Commodore 64)
This package bristles with features and is really quite amazing.
Popular Classics (Commodore 64) (Commodore 64)
This is a fun package... If you enjoy music and have never mastered an instrument, it may give you hours of fun and a sense of achievement.
Tea Time (Pocket Money) (Dragon 32)
An excellent title page and a high score - go out and buy it.
Chemistry 1/Biology 1 (School) (Commodore 64)
What you are offered here is one program with two sets of data for different subjects at a price that can only be described as extortionate. Appalling.
Go To Hell (Triple Six) (Spectrum 48K)
Triple Six seems to be concentrating on the gruesome aspects of the game rather than on the quality of the game itself.
Beatle Quest (Number 9) (Commodore 64)
Beatle Quest is good but not special... It is an all-text adventure, written using The Quill and its claim to distinction is its theme.
Happy Hour (Scorpio Gamesworld) (Spectrum 48K)
Wobbly Wilf becomes more and more difficult to control as he sinks more pints.
A View To A Kill (Domark) (Spectrum 48K)
Three games based upon scenes from the film... None of the games are great individually, but the three together are good value.
Slide (Pocket Money) (Dragon 32)
The only solution is time and patience... One fault is that there's no way to get back to the options menu.
Pit Fiend (Pocket Money) (Dragon 32)
A fair game, but not really exciting or variable enough to make it a worthwhile purchase even at this price.
Bandito (Pocket Money) (Dragon 32)
I never managed to win the top payout of two pounds and I usually ended up the poorer.
Robin Hood (Pocket Money) (Dragon 32)
The rocks being thrown are accurate and should you be hit or fall off the platform you tumble into the moat below.
Toppler (Pocket Money) (Dragon 32)
Quite an addictive game and demanding some skill in aiming your shots.
Data Fall (Pocket Money) (Dragon 32)
A bad example of budget software which should never see the light of shelf space.
Bubble Buster (Pocket Money) (Dragon 32)
Microdeal's name is not revealed until the title screen loads - which is not surprising really!
Activity Centre (Argus Press) (Commodore 64)
It offers quite a lot at a reasonable price if you've got the patience.
