Linked reviews are available to view in full on this site.
Mission XK1 (J. Morrison Micros) (Dragon 32)
Docking is difficult by the small area you have to aim for... I found this detracted from the game's appeal.
An entertaining and amusing game... Three levels of play... At the start you are shown graphically what to avoid and what is beneficial.
Tukom's Kingdom (Stainless) (TI99/4A)
There is a bug in this game: the monster sometimes moves over the spell, clearing it from the screen!
It is sad that you must fork out £5.95 for a rather simple, pure Basic game of this quality.
Spy's Demise (Stainless) (TI99/4A)
In the newer version, the game is easier and, because there is less frustration, the enjoyment is greater.
Electron (Tom Mix) (Dragon 32)
Not very impressive graphics or games... Extra lives are awarded if you reach certain scores.
Pengon (Microdeal) (Dragon 32)
The graphics are acceptable, but I was disappointed to find that Pengon does not look much like a penguin.
Galactic Encounter/Checkers (Stainless) (TI99/4A)
Clever graphics... Checkers is a variation of the old strategy game of Solitaire, except that the layout used is an 8 x 8 grid, with the centremost sixteen squares left blank.
Sea Adventure (Virgin) (BBC Model B)
After completing the adventure, I can say that it isn't very spectacular, but I did enjoy the welcome home.
Forbidden Forest (Audiogenic) (Commodore 64)
As time continues, the moon rises and falls, screen colours change and stars come out. This is a nice touch which gives the game variety.
Enigma (Brainbox) (Acorn Electron)
Should you be the type of mental masochist who can solve Rubik's cube blindfold with both hands tied then this is the game for you.
Battle Planet (ISP Marketing) (BBC Model B)
Perhaps BBC owners are spoilt but I now expect more colour, excitement and better graphic definition from arcade games than this.
Moneybox (Harris Micro) (Dragon 32)
Needs a Dragon disc drive. When I transferred my accounts to this, I was amazed at how effectively and clearly it presented them in a systematic fashion.
Quickdraw (Selective) (BBC Model B)
Do consider this program if a general purpose artistic package is what you require.
Character Generator (ISP Marketing) (Spectrum 48K)
Unworthy of the publishers of Scope - and at a ridiculous price.
Key Definer & Character Generator (G-Soft) (BBC Model B)
This is so bad that I imagine it would probably have been rejected had it been submitted for publication in a magazine.
Scope 64 (ISP Marketing) (Commodore 64/128)
An interesting utility, and one that's well worth looking at if you don't want to bother learning machine code.
