To say that Crypt Capers is boring is opinionated, but to say that the controls are slow-reacting, the backgrounds unimaginative, and sound effects poor is all fact. Read Review

Well are you lucky! One day while you are studying ancient Egyptian ruins, you discover an unknown pyramid buried in the sands of the Sahara. Once inside, you are standing in a chamber containing several treasures. What more could you wish?
Perhaps you would wish that there were not as many snakes and fireballs around. Now, to get deeper into the pyramid you must collect the keys you find and unlock the doors. Sounds easy? Well, beware of the Triads and shrinking ghosts.
Anyhow, you have your gun and it should not be impossible to reach the Pharos chamber on level twelve. On your way you will find old jars, statues, papyrus roots and other valuable items. Oh, just one more thing to remember. Do not stand in the way of the magic non-destructible rocks or you might end up being a surprise find for archaeologists in a few thousand years from now.
Each level must be completed before your bonus runs out. Your bonus is decreased by five every time you fire your gun. You are given an extra life for every 30,000 points and for every four levels you complete.
