A good shoot-'em-up that will appeal to fans of this style of game. Some may find it a bit boring if they don't get anywhere after the first few goes.

Crystal Castles (Kixx)

An addictive arcade romp with pleasant graphics and sound.

Dynamite Dux (Activision)

A fun beat-'em-up, for a while at least, but the lack of variety soon has you diving for the reset button.

Kendo Warrior (Byte Back)

Kendo Warrior doesn't hold anything new, but there's challenge in it for a hardened games player. A fun beat-'em-up.

Monty On The Run (Kixx)

Slightly aged, but still busting with playability.

Myth (System 3)

A romping return to the heyday of arcade adventures and will keep you puzzling and hacking for a long time indeed.

Paperboy (Encore)

Despite the odd annoying mishap, Paperboy is playable and will keep you occupied for some time.

Thundercats (Encore)

The game gets more difficult as you get on to the later levels, each one with its own full colour picture of someone from the cartoon at the beginning.

Top Gun (The Hit Squad)

Definitely not for fans of the film; only flight simulator fanatics may find some fun roaming around an empty sky. This one never took my breath away!

Tusker (System 3)

The scenery is varied enough to stop you nodding off to sleep and the brain-teasing puzzles will have you jumping around in pleasing frustration.

The Untouchables (Ocean)

Ocean have brought Chicago to life. The atmospheric title tune, beautifully detailed graphics and challenging gameplay add up to one addictive mean game!
