Spellbound Dizzy (Codemasters) (Commodore 64/128)
On a par with most of the other Dizzy games - standard graphics, girly-type cuteness, average gameplay and a few quite clever puzzles dotted about here and there. The major thing to note about this budget release is that it's an enhanced version of the original... and it's much bigger!
Pictionary (The Hit Squad) (Commodore 64/128)
The Pictionary idea is a fabulous one, but unfortunately it doesn't work well on computer.
Super Monaco GP (Kixx) (Commodore 64/128)
It's no match for something like the classic Stunt Car Racer, but it's fun to play and almost captures the thrills and spills of driving round the Grand Prix circuits of Europe.
Fun School 2: For The Under 6s (Database) (Commodore 64/128)
Seems to be more aimed at getting your sprog into using the keyboard than educating them a great deal. Still, the sooner you get the little brats started, the sooner they can begin playing real games.
Fun School 2: For 6 To 8 Year Olds (Database) (Commodore 64/128)
Educationally, this one goes deeper into the teaching side of things than the first pack - you learn about map co-ordinates, money and geometry.
Fun School 2: For The Over 8s (Database) (Commodore 64/128)
Plenty of logic problems to ponder on. The trouble is, when you've done them once, then there isn't much you can gain from doing them again.
Test Drive 2: The Duel (The Hit Squad) (Commodore 64/128)
Great fun, especially when you crash into the back of the police cars - your windscreen shatters before your eyes!
Crystal Kingdom Dizzy (Codemasters) (Commodore 64/128)
If you still love Dizzy after all these years then you'll more than likely think Crystal Kingdom is the best thing since sliced bread.
Bully's Sporting Darts (Alternative) (Commodore 64/128)
Hits the mark. Okay, so it doesn't stick fervently to the proper rules of darts, but then, it's not supposed to be real darts; it's a computer game, and a pretty addictive one at that.
Crazy Cars 3 (Titus) (Commodore 64/128)
Would've made a good original budget game rather than one at full price. It's just much too easy to master - you'll be thrashing the top road racers of the US of A in about an hour.
Psycho's Soccer Selection (Ubisoft) (Commodore 64/128)
Kick Off 2 is the only reason to buy this compilation, but as it's also available on other, better compilations, seek out one of those instead.
Reckless Rufus (Alternative) (Commodore 64/128)
Success, or failure, depends too much on luck. Whether you enjoy it or not depends on how patient a games player you are.
Locomotion (Kingsoft) (Commodore 64/128)
This isn't a logic puzzle, it's too frantic for that. It's more a test of your organisational skills. What you need is an eye for detail and darned quick reactions.
