The fact that there is usually a short cut to solving each crime is disappointing, but if you stick to the rules it's a lot of fun.
Superb cross between Spindizzy and Blockbusters, with a shoot-'em-up element thrown in.
A good arcade conversion... Simple ideas very often produce the best games, and such is the case here.
This one is clearly a Get Dexter derivative, but that was a brilliant game. I don't think this one is as good because it lacks the sense of humour and is a little too similar to the French classic.
Jack The Nipper II: In Coconut Capers (Gremlin)
A superior sequel... Graphics are boring in terms of colour but, as with the screens, every time I play it, I find a new character or item of scenery. Movement is easy, there is no scrolling and the animation is good.
Werewolves Of London (Viz Design/Ariolasoft)
Reminiscent of Bride Of Frankenstein from the same team. The idea is fine but there is just not enough game in there.
Pro Ski Simulator (Codemasters)
A great little skiing game. Seven increasingly difficult courses to complete.
First part can be frustrating. Second part will keep you occupied longer.
If you want a game that has got real zap-appeal then this could be the game for you.
Passengers On The Wind 2 (Infogrames)
The original was innovative, but this fails to capitalise.
A bit more thought could have made this a really good game, but it does not quite have what it takes.
Indiana Jones And The Temple Of Doom (US Gold)
The graphics are as varied as the real game, and the sound is just as good - except for the lack of speech, but then what do you want - miracles?!
A badly executed game in all departments. Awful scrolling and far too many frustrations.
A nightmare which defies you to switch it off by drawing you further into its web... Highly recommended.
The mystery of this abandoned space station rapidly exerts a strong fascination for the player...
The text is often extremely witty and that the first hour's playing was most enjoyable. The second hour, however, saw a number of repetitions of the storyline.
