Big game, quickly becomes tedious - viable only really for those desperate to compete head-on with a group of friends. Top soundtrack though.

Lionheart (Thalion)

Suffers from control quirks now and again. Graphics and sound apart, you have a bog standard platformer.

Chuck Rock 2: Son Of Chuck (Core Design)

Cute, colourful, fast and funny - it might not convert those hardened platform haters, but it sure will delight the fans.

What a bargain! The greatest compilation I've seen for ages and ages... All three games are worth owning in their own rights.

Turrican (Rainbow Arts)

A truly fun and addictive game.

Lemmings (Psygnosis)

Chaotic music, hilarious sound effects and brilliant animation... More careful thought needs to be put into many of the more difficult levels.

Stone Age (Grandslam)

Stone Age cannot be described as original... but it's easy to play, addictive and fun and lasting.

Abandoned Places 2 (ICE)

Dungeon crawlers of this kind are very dated, but hey - some people still prefer flares. Great depth and scope for adventure for D&D fans.

Sleep Walker (Ocean)

Fantastic cartoony graphics... and one of the most playable games I ever had the pleasure of playing.

Body Blows (Team 17)

Great graphics, brilliant sound, amazing playability and addictive as hell. Beat-'em-up fanatics must be over the moon.

Transarctica (Daze)

A fantastically atmospheric game. I can recommend it to both adventure and arcade types.

Prime Mover (Psygnosis)

This motorbike game features super speed and more than holds its own in the genre.

Lethal Xcess (Grandslam)

A fun and addictive game that left me wanting more... All the standard shoot-'em-up features are included and the two-player mode adds a little more depth.

Universal Monsters (Ocean)

A throwback to the old days - an isometric adventure in the best traditions. It looks a little dated today, but represents excellent value for money.
