Linked reviews are available to view in full on this site.
Robin Of Sherwood (Adventure International) (Acorn Electron)
Quite reasonable by average standards. The problem is that when you have played the best of Acornsoft, Level 9 and Robico, you know just how much can be packed into the Beeb's 32K and most others suffer badly by the comparison.
Strike Force Harrier (Mirrorsoft) (BBC/Electron)
The best game I have come across since Elite and has to be a must for most people's collections.
Time Trucker (ASK) (BBC/Electron)
For a program involved with time and careful planning, I think it's unfortunate that all the planning has to be done at the computer.
Recorder Tutor (Mupados) (BBC/Electron)
I am sure this new Mupados kit will fill an important gap, and it was certainly warmly welcomed in my own school.
Blue Ribbon Games Disk 2 (Blue Ribbon) (BBC Model B)
If you've got some under tens to keep happy then this collection would probably do. Fondly remembered but now replaced by more ambitious and exciting games.
The Pay-Off (Bignose) (BBC/Amstrad)
The game is not bad but it provides so little for your money that I would definitely recommend you give it a miss.
BBC Micro Starter Pack (Dorling-Kindersley) (BBC Model B)
The BASIC is of the 'standard' variety that I used to hate so much before I discovered BBCs and I would not wish to expose any pupils of mine to the unstructured examples provided.
Statspak (Chalksoft) (BBC Model B)
A reasonably useful package for aiding the teaching of statistics at 'O' and 'A' level.
Roads (Fernleaf)
Tourism (Nelson CAL) (BBC B/B+/Master 128)
The package is very well produced and is one I'd recommend to all geography departments.
